Danny Lee Beam left his earthly home on September 29, 2018 with the prayers of his family. Danny was born August 19, 1934 to Ralph and Katy (Johnson) Beam in Browning, Illinois. They preceded him in death along with brothers; Ralph and Terry and one sister, Margie.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Danville National Cemetery.
Danny has three children; Mark Beam of Kansas, Greg Beam of Montana and Dannette Brogdon of High Ridge, Missouri. Seven grandchildren and one great grandson also survive him.
Also surviving is his companion for nine years, Marcia Wilkinson of Champaign.
Danny graduated from East Peoria High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952. He later served his beloved country in the United State Air Force, being discharged in 1960. While in the service he was stationed in Cape Romanzof, Alaska, where he was a meteorologist. He was very proud of this accomplishment.
Upon leaving the Air Force, Danny worked for Keystone Steel near Peoria as a Foreman and a Train Engineer. Later he moved to Florida and was the manager of the Luxury Condos, Trade Winds at New Smyrna Beach. He also had a realtor’s license in several states with his then wife Donna (French) Beam who preceded him in death. He had also been married to Carolyn Livingood, who preceded him in death.
His companion, Marcia and he owned a horse farm in Florida and had beautiful Gypsy Vanner Horses. Danny was a gardener and grew huge gardens, the envy of the neighborhoods. He always owned and loved dogs. He also enjoyed fishing and made good use of the lake around his home in Tavares, Florida.
He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Condolences may be offered at renner-wikoffchapel.com.
